divine providence:raising capital and attracting the spirit called money

I like to first submit that it is God that instituted the order for man to work. Work is anything you do for reward or yield on investment. The children of God are expected to live by faith because it is impossible to please God without faith, yet the bible tells us that there is no faith without works.

Though this is true, God rules in the affairs of men. His ways are not our ways and His thoughts not our thought. God can choose to bypass natural orders to provide for a course, even in raising capital.

When the arrangement that was made to provide for the marriage in Canaan could not satisfy all, Jesus performed the miracle of turning water into wine. The wine would have cost money to acquire, it could be likened to capital. When they ran short of capital, Jesus supplied.

The widow of Zarephath needed capital, if she must produce to sustain herself and her son. She must have tried other options of raising fund and it didn’t suit her. I want to believe she must have been praying for divine interventions, just at the nick of time, God who is all knowing, knowing how to meet her needs, sent Elijah to her.

God said to her “the barrel of meal shall not waste. Neither shall the cruise of oil fail, until the day that the Lord sendeth rain upon the earth.

Every other method known for raising funds must have failed this woman, until God came through for her. God is the one that gives seed to the sower and bread to the eater. When you are willing to sow, be a blessing to other people, a prime mover in kingdom work, God will give you seed. Never make the mistake of thinking your seed is bread. Seeds are for sowing. It is important to know that the earth is the Lord’s and the cattle on a thousand hills are His, the silver and the gold are His. The heart of the king is in the hands of the Lord and He turns it where ever pleases Him. God can choose to work through the other options of raising capital to favour you. God could bypass your labour to favour you. I do not intend to down play the importance of working hard or developing your intellect, rather revealing the omnipotence of God. When Jesus needed money to pay His tax, He asked His disciples to catch the first fish and give the money they will fine in the mouth of the fish to ceasar. Again Jesus needed a colt to ride on, he just performed a miracle of influence and the owner released the colt. Miracles from God can be the source of your capital.

I saw the miraculous intervention of God, when the tent we used for church was damaged by a great wind on a Saturday morning. By Sunday I announced to the congregation that we will take off the tent and start building a new structure in three days time, to enable us have a roof over our head by Sunday the next week. The faith that I relied on to declare that we can start rebuilding in question of days came as I worshipped God that morning after the tent gave way. Amidst that that storm, my faith rose, I knew that the one who has given the vision will make provision. By Tuesday of the next week, my phone beeped and I received credit alert and the amount deposited was three hundred and fifty thousand naira. This was enough for us to start the project. We needed capital or money to provide a meeting place for the church, I couldn’t have used the option of partnership, debt financing, private placement e.t.c. we needed divine providence. God can provide even in business, He can!
